Claude's book is awesome and worth reading. i wrote a review which hasnt had the good fortune to get published yet.
i wish i could share this reviewer's confidence that a new panchsheel is not in the offing. if history repeats itself, i would not be surprised. what with the imminent chinese takeover of nepal, and the infiltration into the indian heartland via the naxalites, china is in an exceedingly strong position negotiations-wise. the only fly in the ointment is that the chinese economy may collapse in the meantime.

I dont know what is happening to India. Something really horrible has happened in Andhra Yesterday.
The Grey Hounds of Police went in to a strikinig distance where all the master minds of Maoist Naxalites are hinding. They were just 150 m away from these people. They could have shot everyone down. This was happening in Nallamala forest.
But something dramatic has happened in Hyderabad in the meantime.The self proclaimed representatives of Moists Varavara rao, Gaddar etc...approached home minister and asked him to take action on police. " Home Minister was scared that something tetrrible would happen if the Grey Hounds shot the naxalites" and ordered them to come back.
So, who is the govt ??? Why are we spending exchequesrs money on training and employing police? when then see and naxalite and cant hit him, why are there police for????
Why is the Congress Govt in Andhra so scared of Naxalites?? Why are they entertaining them? During Chandrababu Naidus' rule of 9 years, noone heard this much of naxalites in Andhra...
Things seem to be very alarming in Andhra...
surya, nepal is going to be taken over by the maoists, and then, one by one, bihar, jharkhand, orissa, andhra pradesh etc. the UPA will sit around and watch this happening. they have no interest in getting rid of the maoists, and they consider them their brothers. hindi-chini-bhai-bhai once again from the congress side, and 'china's chairman is india's chairman' from the marxists.
