may be a good idea to leave it in your hotel room, attached with a kensington-type lock to some immovable object. another option: don't take your laptop to the customer,site bring a large-capacity thumb drive (say 2 GB, which goes for only couple of hundred dollars) with your stuff on it. and use a machine the customer can provide. and remember to not copy much stuff on to the customer machine (duh!)
