very interesting, how the age of this tomb keeps going up.

this is like the number of mohammedans killed in gujarat keeps
increasing in each telling. the actual number from the UPA govt: 768;
according to the british: 2000; according to the indian muslim council,
usa: 5000; probably according to pervez musharraf: 100,000

*Indian media's mendacity exposed*
The Indian media has magically increased the age and antiquity of
Vadodara's illegally encroached dargah from: “many decades” to
“100-year-old” to “200-year-old” to “more than 200-year-old” to
“300-year-old”, all within 24 hours.
At this rate, just wait a week and you will see that this Islamic dargah
is bound to be declared (by the India media) as having been built before
the birth of Islam (7^th century).
Read on:
“He said no-one knows exactly how old the dargah is but 'it has been
here for *many decades'*.”

who is fighting for this 300 year old structure?

Social activist Teesta Setelvad said in a statement that according to a “compromise” formula worked out between the community leaders and the administration on Sunday, only a part of the shrine was to have been “sacrificed for development”. But the police demolished the whole structure next day and, by the afternoon, “had paved a road over it”.

I too feel the way Madhwa feels. Pramod Mahajan was one of the most competent of BJP leaders. I feel there was some plot to get rid of him. Does anyone remember the news about Arun Jetley's security being reduced sometime back? Just gives me a sense somebody was at it in a very methodical manner...... I might be wrong, but I might not be.

If so, it is an intelligent plot. Keep the oldies in good humoour and bump/divide the young and competent. (Notice how Uma Bharti is supporting reservations now.. Also notice how media is reporting Uma when she criticises BJP but not when she criticises others).

I have to disagree, if you think that a person can change his personality just by changing his dress then you are wrong. You don’t have to look far for a better example than our own Sonia Antonio Maino. She dresses perfectly like an Indian woman but we all know where she comes from and where she wants to take India.

Personally I don’t care what a person wears. What matters is his/her clarity of thought and a strong backbone. Period.
