ancient amazonian observatory in peru

the roots of astronomical knowledge go way back. for instance, our ancestors (possibly predicted), observed and noted a peculiar celestial configuration in 3102 bce, to mark the beginning of the kali yuga.

there were possible voyages between india and south america. for instance, the mayan and inca pyramids are apparently built on principles that make complete sense to indian stapathis, as they are aligned astronomically.

of course christist whites do not give any credit to anything that didnt come out of europe in the 19th century, and grudgingly these days, to things that the chinese government forcefully asserts. the chinese are *so good* at "truth by repeated assertion" that they must have been christists in a previous incarnation. the differences in propaganda techniques between marxists and christists is vanishingly small.

one of my dreams, incidentally, is to go to macchu picchu in the peruvian andes. one of these days... i have so far crossed hampi and angkor wat off my list of 'must-see' places. some day i'll post my hampi and angkor wat/cambodia photos on flickr. other places i wish to see include manasarovar in tibet, ayers rock in australia, and gangotri in uttaranchal.

Is it good or bad?
Is the Dubai company really taking Keralities for a ride?

Read the comments at the end of the link I posted above

"if he ever refuses a clear opportunity to leave for jihad, then i want the choice of divorce,” she wrote in one of more than 6,000 Internet postings uncovered by The Globe and Mail."

Kapidhwaja,

Pakistan has promised that its nukes are aimed only at India. No matter who turns against Pakistan, the nukes will be fired at India. This is what I have read.

(thus is can now rightly be considered a rogue nation).

In this circumstance, dont you think an Indian as secy general will be a good deterrent for that kind of thing ?

What do you think ?

"... and backing it up with action. Bullies and blood-thirsty savages understand only one language."

-- That may be true. But they are mightier, being the "United Islamic Nations". We are far less mighty.

So no point trying to go the savage way. We simply are not mighty enough to combat them in their language.

So I think a combination of cleverness, diplomacy and an international "United Non-Terrorism Front", is the way to go. This would include Muslims who do not uphold terrorism but are afraid to say so openly.

Perhaps a very clever diplomat could succeed in uniting the non-terrorists. Perhaps Shashi Tharoor has the much needed soft-power and universal goodwill to do this kind of thing. So I am still thinking he is a good candidate. Though I dont know how clevber he is. We need someone very very clever.

Secy Genl. may have been useless so far, but he could become useful from now. Things change.

Islamic Terrorism/Taliban is the single biggest threat, not only for Hindus, but also for America, and now Europe also.

If I remember correctly, the Egyptian pyramids at Giza are astronomically aligned as well - with the Orion constellation.
