sensible people have been saying this for some time. now that the NYT has put its imprimatur on it, it must be true.
part of the reason the atlanticists are so anti-india is also their fear that their jobs may also end up being outsourced to asia in general and india in particular.
by the way, i think when india opens up its banking sector in 2008/9, a lot of banking back-office and front-office jobs will migrate to india. this is because indians are numerate, and in any case (grudging admission by the economist magazine) banks like hdfc and icici are beating the pants off the big MNC banks functioning in india. turns out indians know banking.
