Chandigarh,  December 10, 2006

After kicking off a row with his controversial remarks about territorial claim over Arunachal Pradesh, Beijing's envoy to India, Sun Yaxi, on Sunday night claimed "some area" of the northeastern state was being negotiated between the two countries.

Talking to the media in Chandigarh, he said some area in Arunachal Pradesh was being "negotiated" between the two countries.

Claiming that the border area between India and China was "not demarcated", Sun said "only a mutually acceptable solution" was the sole solution to resolve border dispute between the two neighbours.

"All border issues must be resolved through friendly consultations and mutually acceptable solution," he said adding border issues should not come in the way further strengthening bilateral ties.

Pointing out that eight rounds of talks had already taken place between India and China on the border issue, the envoy said "five rounds of confabulations have produced good guiding principles to settle the border issue."

He stressed on confidence-building measures between the two countries to resolve border issue amicably.

Sun also stressed the need for allowing of more commodities to be traded through Nathula pass in Sikkim.

Pointing out that over 100 commodities were now being traded between India and China, he said China was ready for having trade with India in textile, chemicals and pharmaceuticals fields.

Sun said around 40 Chinese companies had taken up projects in India including that of infrastructure development.

"Chinese companies are setting up around six to seven power generation stations across India," he said.

This is too much criticism of Manmohan Singh!

I have started writing a series of essays on his major achievements -- afzal guru is one of them.

The "Dravidian" attack on hindu temples is horrendous..There has absolutely been NO uproar over it in the state or the country. They have used crude bombs and vandalised temples all thru the state. The Dravdian parties in TN are no different from Islamic fundamentalists...

The whole problem arose because they wanted to have a statue of Periyar right in front of the famous Srirangam temple in Rameshwaram (as if the state was not already littered with statues of Periyar). Just because a couple of hindu oragnisations mutedly proteststed this perfidy.. Darvidian parties went on savage temple destruction spree..

I pray God.. that the state and our country get freedom from such savages..
