like other british journalists edward luce is half-informed, but fully convinced of his white man's burden. i find brit men on average to be the absolute worst prigs -- although i am a great admirer of one brit, christopher hitchens. boy, what a guy! sharp-tongued, acid, but what wit! i loved the stuff he wrote about that old bat, M Teresa ("the ghoul of calcutta"), among other things he has said. for instance, he has been forceful that the iraq war is the right thing to do for the wrong reasons.
