China hits back, bans American foods

China responds to the white-man's ban on their stuff -- by banning theirs in return.
With a particular focus on Uncle Sam .

China, has mastered the key tricks of global politics and have seen through the standard Western duplicity -- its never really about safety/propriety or the law. Its pure self interest.

In stark contrast, had this happened to an Indian good (say mangoes or clothing), Manmoron and company would have caved in immediately -- petitions would have been filed and "fact-based" efforts at convincing the Yanks would have been launched ("Oh look... our mangoes are the best"). CNN would have shown agri practices in remote Bihar and made disparaging comments about India in general. At which point our "upright" PM would have assumed his habitual position: kneeling.

India should borrow a leaf out of China's book and retaliate in kind -- by dumping American goods -- corn, Pepsi cola, the works -- into the sea!

This is also why, I am more confident that China -- and not India or Brazil -- will break Western hegemony over agri-subsidises.
