DO NOT FAIL TO PERFORM YOUR

DHARMIC DUTY

ON OCTOBER 2ND, TUESDAY, IN FRONT OF THE UNITED NATIONS

Dear Hindu colleagues:

Under the banner of
FORUM FOR GANDHI HERITAGE

Several Hindu organizations have joined hands to organize a peaceful protest demonstration against Sonia [Antonia Maino] Gandhi, the President of Congress Party and the Chairperson of UPA on October 2nd between 12:00 to 02:00 pm. in front of the United Nations at First Avenue and 47th Street [Dag. Hammarskjöld Plaza].

While we commend the declaration of Mahatma Gandhi's birthday as International Non-Violence Day by United Nations at India's request we highly condemn the usurpation of this historic moment by an unqualified politician whose policies, programs and values are antithesis of what Mahatma Gandhi  stood for.

We firmly believe that this strategy is motivated  by a devious desire to gain international legitimacy and political control in Indian governance, using the name of a world revered Indian icon – Mahatma Gandhi.   The fact is Sonia (Maino) Gandhi has no relationship whatsoever, either by blood, ideals and actions with the revered Father of the Nation of India.

Hence, we request you to please participate in this peaceful demonstration along with your friends.

Very truly yours

Narain Kataria

Hundreds from across the entire continental US are expected to participate in a peaceful protest,  fast and prayers, against Sonia (Antonia Maino) Gandhi, President of Congress Party and UPA Chairman on her representation on Oct 2nd at UN on International Non-Violence day.

While we commend the declaration of Mahatma Gandhi's birthday as International Non-Violence Day by United Nations at India's request, we highly condemn the usurpation of this historic moment by an unqualified politician whose policies, programs and values are antithesis of what Mahatma Gandhi ji stood for.

Mahatma Gandhi ji's life represented, truth, tolerance, non-violence, purity and resistance to injustice.  In today's world filled with  terrorism, religious fanaticism, political corruption,   Mahatma Gandhi ji's message is more relevant now than ever before.  As Martin Luther King said, "we tend to ignore Gandhi at our own risk".

However, Ms. Sonia Gandhi is entirely contrary to the principles and ethos of luminaries such as Mahatma Gandhi ji,  Nelson Mandela and Martin Luther King Jr. and hence not worthy of being chosen to represent Gandhi ji.

We firmly believe that this strategy is motivated  by desire to gain international legitimacy and political control in Indian governance, using the name of a world revered Indian icon – Mahatma Gandhi ji.   The fact is Sonia (Maino) Gandhi has no relationship whatsoever, either by blood, ideals and actions with the revered Father of the Nation of India.

People who do not know, here in USA, United Nations and the rest of the World will assume that Sonia Gandhi is a relative of Mahatma Gandhi (because of the same last name) and she stood for his ideals.  To permit her to represent Gandhi ji would be a travesty in the name of Mahatma Gandhi ji.

It is imperative that we hold a sacred symbol such as Mahatma Gandhi ji as sacred, otherwise we will have little to hold on to.   We cannot and should not allow such sacred symbol usurped by those whose life is opposite to what he stood for in his life.

The forum therefore feels that Sonia (Maino) Gandhi selection to speak on behalf of Mahatma Gandhi ji is inappropriate.

We would be highly obliged, if you could kindly send your representative(s) to cover this historic event.  For further information, you may refer to website http://gandhiheritage.org or contact our media representative Naresh Sharma,  609-226-9702.

It is a tragi comedy that we have such buffoonery among our midst.
sonia gandhi was elected to parliament from two constituencies, one in the north and one in the south.
she is the present president of the congress party,a post which was held by mahatma gandhi.
she is the duly elected leader of the congress parliamentary party.
it is a matter of the utmost shame that fanatics of the kind which insist on degrading hinduism are existent.

samurai dont be so innocent, you know fully well these 'duly elected' leaders can skin you alive if you pipe too much against them, try it to be fully convinced, people wont even know how and where you were done away with

if gandhi being president of congress party is such a great achievement that any doddering dynastic idiot selected by an extremely sycophantic bunch of people will claim to be great, then to hell with gandhi and congressis and all their rotten 'president posts'

syophancy and cowardliness is another kind of fanaticism, it is very widely practiced, it is common like an epidemic. it makes slaves of us again and again. had it not been so, sonia and her minions would be put in some jail for fraud (ie usurping someone's brand name for success), deported or pelted with chappals in full public view

The funny thing is that Gandhi was called communal by the Muslim League before Independence. As for the Nehru-Gandhi dynasty appropriating MK Gandhi for their own use, they have every right to do so. It was Gandhi the mahatma who foisted Nehru on the Congress. Nehru was smart enough to suck up the saint and have more charismatic leaders like Bose, or more able leaders like Patel, sidelined. Nehru's well-nurtured image came unstuck in 1962 during the Chinese attack, but it was too late for the country by then. As for the present Congress holding up a member of the dynasty as a totem (never mind the nationality or ability) they are doing so for their own selfish ends. The dynasty promises a shortcut to power ("you can fool some of the people all of the time.." etc) Power brings many good things. How else can incompetent slobs and crooks make it to the top otherwise?

sudarshan,who is an incompetent slob?
if a mahatma foists someone on a party,it should be a master stroke.
how did gandhi appease fanatical, genocidal cults?

karyakarta, why does gandhi need to be a hindu nationalist?

gandhi ji,what is your opinion about the status of our country today?
it is the truth that we won our independence by a non violent movement which took root in the twenty years that gandhiji spentin south africa.
he was accepted by the congress as a messiah and he led us to freedom, providing leadership on a daily basis.
disingenuous arguments are made about world war 2 paving independence.
who was providing the overall movement towards a single country?

the scenario was that we were ruled by a superpower.
the same super power was engaged in every region of the world.
the backdrop was international.

Mohandas Gandhi, in my opinion was hardly a Hindu nationalist. Yet, his patriotism cannot be doubted.
He was a devout Hindu in his personal life and had publicly acknowledged christist and muhammedan bigotry. Hindu nationalists respect Gandhi for that and for contributing to Hindu unity with his "Harijan" emancipation work.
The difference in opinion is with respect to non-violence and pacifism bordering on the fanatical, appeasement of genocidal cults which can never be appeased. This sort of dhimmitude is especially dishonest when committed by those who are aware of the genocidal, hateful truths of islam & christianity.
(Gandhi's estranged son Harilal converted to islam to spite his father! and Gandhi went on a fast outside the mosque to protest his son's conversion. What insight does that give you about his views on islam ?)

Yet, secular scoundrels and christist evangelicals have been allowed to misappropriate the brand of Gandhianism for their nebulous purposes.

Therefore, while accepting only Gandhi's pan-Hindu ideals and rejecting dhimmitude, Hindu nationalists need to highlight Gandhi's recognition of semitic bigotry.

Sonia, in particular does not even embody Rajiv Gandhi's policies & ideals, leave alone those of the Mahatma.
