The Saffron Revolution

The Independent (UK) talks about the coming 'Saffron Revolution'.
Saffron Revolution? That sounds very apocalyptic. Oh wait, the rioting saffron monks are in Burma nextdoor, so I guess that makes it okay.

aren't those buddhist monks being "communalists" - I mean after all they arent being very secoooolar. Isnt this a very big danger for secoolarism?

as expected the usual suspects show their asli jaat by complaining about the lack of 'freedom of worship' in Burma, after all that is the highest priority right now isnt it - did those buddhist monks land from Mars since after all they do not have freedom of worship in Burma.

Why do western journalists ask such innocent questions?
A similarly naive question was asked when North Korea tested nukes, i.e "How will China react?"
