'His Dark Materials' Movie to Premier on Nov27

Growing up, I was a fan of the Tolkien books (Hobbit, Lord of the Rings), C S Lewis (Chronicles of Narnia) and various others, as well as the more recent His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman.

The movie is about a world where the Protestant Reformation never took place, ruled by an oppressive world-dominating institution called The Magisterium (aka. the Church)
The story follows the adventures of a young girl as she travels from one universe to the next, to liberate everyone from The Magisterium.

Eat that, Mel Gibson.

Yet I've no doubt that Indian Catholics will campaign to have this movie banned from being shown in India, and that Holy Mother Sonia Maino will cater to them.
