Gene-Sequencing Goes Open Source

Just as IBM changed the computing world with its introduction of the PC, with its open architecture and off-the-shelf parts, likewise Harvard's George Church has now introduced his own open-architecture gene-sequencing machine. At a price of $150,000 per unit, the Polonator could bring full-blown gene-sequencing to the masses. They now have a homepage.
