Neural Buddhism?

This is no surprise - Indic traditions have always been centered around self-experience and exploring the plasticity of the mind. This is unlike the prophetic monotheistic death cults, complete with a God Substitute (aka The Prophet) that sprouted in the harsh middle eastern desert. I am glad they are going to be wiped out in America.

Once that happens of course - all our 'secularists' will be seen practicing vipassana meditation

I have not read the authors Brooks mentioned - but I would add Sam Harris to the list.
