China's National Newspaper's new found love for the BJP

From the article from Pragati...

Today’s Hindu carries a gushing interview with the leader of the opposition, L.K.Advani, by the newspaper’s editor-in-chief. Mr Advani is asked no hard questions and even his comments on strategic relationship with America draw no reproach from Mr Ram. Elsewhere, ”Advaniji” is described as the ”formidable” leader of NDA. Most shockingly, The Hindu–of all newspapers–virtually declares NDA as victors in the next general elections! In fact, The Hindu’s front page displays the inconceivable: Mr Advani is given more coverage than the usual suspects–Karat et al.

Heh, the 123 N-Deal wouldn't have anything to do with this, would it? ;)

I doubt that the Nuclear deal has anything to do with this so called "gushing" interview. I should think that it has either to do with the severe criticism of the Hindu recently especially after the Tibet riots where even the paper's ombudsman agreed that coverage was biased or somebody on the political right has uncovered something about N. Ram and has got him by the b***s and he's singing for his supper - to mix metaphors wildly.

“Purdue Panel Finds Misconduct by Fusion Scientist”

The accused scientist is Rusi Taleyarkhan. I remember there was some discussion a few months ago in this blog about the controversy surrounding his work on "cold fusion".
