a staggering perspective on afghanistan by ambassador bhadrakumar

jul 9th, 2008

i mean that literally, his perspective is truly remarkable, and the logic is truly stunning. ambassador bhadrakumar is originally from trivandrum.

of course, 'asia times' is so clearly a part of the chinese propaganda machine that i generally give it a miss, but someone sent me this link. see how 'asia times' strives to build up the 'greater china' brand, but relegates india to the silly 'south asia' ghetto, which, they explain helpfully, is 'india and pakistan'. what about bangladesh, nepal, sri lanka, bhutan, maldives etc? and why not 'greater india', which is the indian subcontinent + ASEAN? that term was in wide use in the 20th century. china has been successful in diluting the india brand, and propping up the myth of india == pakistan.

Not surprising at all...He is the same guy who was ecstatic at Maoist forming govt in Nepal and was ruing the fact the same kind of revolution hasn't happened in India. I have posted the link to that article before.
If these kinds of people are incharge of India's foreign policy heaven help us.

and where did i say i *liked* it? i was *staggered* by it. one is staggered for different reasons, not necessarily due to agreement with what the person is saying.

Yes, that viewpoint is truly astounding even coming from a "secular" Indian. That seditious nut needs to be evaluated for lunacy.
