the 'vampire of cochin's' case is swept under the carpet like all the nuns' murders?

why wasn't this blighter arrested for messing around with blood sacrifice? is it because the church is all-powerful and can get away with anything, including murders? doesn't he look like a shifty bugger? compare him (pretty pale, eh?) to the guy from 'buffy, the vampire slayer'.

oh, i get it, he confessed and said he's sorry, so he is let off with a wink and a nudge.

the blighter is seriously disturbed, but in other ways (see previous post about his hotels and massage parlors http://rajeev2004.blogspot.com/2008/10/more-on-vampire-of-cochins-antics-is-he.html) he is a typical godman who is fornicating with mammon quite happily.

see more details about the murders of nuns, a regularly scheduled activity in kerala's nunneries.

Extract from Pope suspends Bishop of Cochi by Shaju Philip Posted: Oct 24, 2008 at 2300 hrs IST

Thiruvananthapuram, October 23 : The Vatican on Thursday suspended Bishop John Thattunkal of the Latin Catholic diocese of Cochin on charges of adopting a young woman for his “spiritual refreshment”, marking the first action against a prelate in the 2000 years of the Catholic Church in the country. In another coincidence, the beleaguered Cochin diocese, established in 1557, is the first diocese in India.

"The Bishop has been suspended from the administrative responsibility of Cochin diocese; instead Archbishop Daniel Acharuparambil, of Verapoly Archdiocese, has been given charge of the diocese. The suspension would come into effect from tomorrow itself," said the Archbishop’s public relations officer Fr Yesudas Pazhambally, quoting the communiqué from Pope Benedict XVI.
