Indian Strike Imminent?

Stratfor feels India is about to launch military strikes against Pakistan. They feel India has been using the talktime thusfar to make preparations for war. I think he's giving us too much credit. On the other hand, the US did announce its plans for alternate supply routes some weeks ago.

I feel the same. It is giving too much credit to MM Singh.

On other hand, if they did it, they would take away platform from BJP for a long long time.

They could then pitch Sonia as Indira - the Durga Ma role. That would be really really scary.

naah, i think this is the "puppies of war" unleashed, not the dogs of war. like puppies, the UPA will yap a lot and run around but will do nothing. it is not in their interest to go war, because after all, half of them have dubious links to the ISI and are getting saudi money.

the idea is to have an election stunt by pretending they are going t do something to pakistan. the time to do something was long ago, when the israelis offered to wipe out kahuta with a surgical strike. of course, the chinese would have given the pakistanis more nukes, but wiping out kahuta would have wilted the punjabi pride so much they would have been reduced to blubbering.

Rahul hasn't gone to Italy for "holidays" yet. So all talk of war is just talk.

The utter competence with which the Mumbai seige was handled does not inspire any confidence of the UPA government. To add to it lets see

(a) Look at the tamasha of
A.R Antulay.

(b) The bumbling response to local logistical support.

(c) They are outsourcing Mumbai investigations to FBI and British.

The UPA govt is unable or unwilling to take concrete steps internally does it have the capacity or desire to conduct war?
