"So help us God..."

Thus spake the Xtian godmen on the "Messiah's" swearing-in ceremony yesterday. Although it could very well turn out to be "God help us..." at the end of his 4-year term, just as it did with Dubya's reign.

As you would have seen, there was too much of the one and only "God" yesterday, as it always is in Massa-land. Once before the swearing-in and another after it by two different Xtian godmen(While we in "secular" India shudder to even think of our Hindu Gods & Godesses in official ceremonies). And in between some non-sensical poem read by some obscure woman, and also that bizarre musical performance by the noted violinist and cellist et al. They might as well have had some hard-rock or hip-hop to lighten-up the supposedly solemn ceremony. Although the actual swearing-in was an anti-climax as both the Messiah and the Chief Justice John Roberts were out of sync.

BTW, they say that the Xtian "God" created Man in His Image. So is "God" White, Black, Brown, Yellow or Red? Or is He half-Black & half-White?

I believe man created, i.e., invented, the abrahamic god(s).
Note also that these abrahamic gods are all fearsome creatures (equivalent of Tamil "poochandi") that will make you suffer if you don't obey the commands of their creators or self-appointed agents, and that those of the abrahamaic religion are god-"fearing". It would be better for them all if they converted to the Pastafarian religion, under the "Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster".

Sorry man I have to ask what is the point you are trying to make. I enjoyed the inauguration... it was not great or anything but at the same time it was not bad either. Remember he did say during his speech that "we are a country of Christians and Muslims, Jews and Hindus" when Hindus are hardly 1% of the US population. Cut the man little slack, will you?
