I think they folks he visited (Lakdawala, Yagnik and other 'social scientist' friends) have colored old Bob. It is sad he did not see through their sham pretenses.
Interesting that these guys now claim Modi is ditching Hindutva for development; but that development itself is a sort of 'cloaked Hindutva'. They beat their breasts against identity politics but are happy to beat up a guy for launching a developmental agenda - in their scheme of things Modi can do no right.

The saddest fact is that Robert Kaplan is Jewish and he is basically siding with islamic terrorists by lambasting Modi. Is he crazy? Would he say the same crap about Ariel Sharon?
