“dream team” delivers one more kick to Indian farmer’s in world trade

I can hear the swiss bank cash till ringing. Of course Obama and his agri-subsidy loving lobby corporations are squealing in delight, all the while erecting protectionist barriers on Indian IT workers. That’s right folks – they screw our bright and kill our poor.

the thing to do is to tell the yanks and Europeans to buzz off when it came to agriculture, just as Arun Shourie and Kamal Nath did. notice – not a squeak out of the dream team about the billions of subsidies that the whites give to their farmer’s. It is better to be a European cow than a human in half the world

when it comes to subsidies we shuld learn from the yanks. I personally know of one recent instance. Their was some obscure clause that american firms using alternative or green energy (etc.) were eligible for some kind of government funding. So along comes the nearly bankrupt American pulp & paper industry, says they are using alternative fuel derived from pulp waste, gets billions of dollars from the government and suddenly in the second quarter this year firms which had been showing losses for the last 3-4 years are back into profit. The Canadians have now hit back (they are the competitors); their government has announced environmental funding for their pulp & paper firms.
