This is hilarious considering the assertions of the evangelical types about prophecies in their book about heathens being struck by lightning by the hateful
Abrahamic god!!

MONROE, Ohio — A six-story-tall statue of Jesus Christ with his arms raised along a highway was struck by lightning in a thunderstorm Monday night and burned to the ground, police said.
The "King of Kings" statue, one of southwest Ohio's most familiar landmarks, had stood since 2004 at the evangelical Solid Rock Church along Interstate 75 in Monroe, just north of Cincinnati.

Oh yeah, I've seen this statue many times. Halfway between Cincinnati and Dayton on the east side of I-75. Think there is a huge flea market on the opposite side of the highway within a couple of miles of this statue. Statue was only of the upper body, facing the highway, with arms raised skyward. Surprised, but not unhappy, that it was not protected.
