Japan to Counter China in New Defense Policy

Will S.Korea and Japan be able to reconcile their difference, considering that they are themselves locked in a bitter territorial dispute? The strategic depth that the U.S hopes to achieve seemingly depends on the dynamics of the parties sharing the maritime border with China.
