if bruce reidel believes the paks are going to become 'responsible world citizens', i would like to introduce him to the tooth fairy. i also have a bridge -- real nice one -- in brooklyn to sell him.
this would be merely pathetic if reidel were a nobody. alas, he is sort of the architect of obama's af-pak policy, which is simple: "india should give j&k to pak, so that yanks can declare victory in afghanistan and go home." that makes it truly black comedy.
and these are the clever people that the manmohan singh government is taking advice from on how to deal with pak. grim prospects indeed.
