microsoft is drumming up apps for windows 7 by letting employees moonlight

as the laggard in the race for apps (apple has 350,000, google has 150,000), microsoft needs all the apps it can get. this is a good idea -- kills two birds with one stone. retains staff and they get mildly entreprenurial.
