m-f was an artist? yeah, a con artist, and a CON artist

jun 9th, 2011 CE

m-f hussain: yeah, he was an artist all right.

a small-time con artist who managed to pass off his extra-mediocre pieces as something wonderful.

and a court artist of the CON party, so i guess he was a CON artist too.

and 'picasso of india'? puleeez, can't you think of a way of even making an analogy without invoking a DWM (dead white male)?

how about calling m-f the 'piss-christ-asso' of india?

"piss-christ" was a famous 'artistic' piece by one andres serrano, and consisted of a crucifix upside down in a beaker of urine

m-f, after all, was pissing all over things held sacred by others, so it is pretty apt for him.

oh, not to forget that he was a dirty old fart, a hornball salivating at 85 over women young enough to be his great-great-grand-daughters. (and oh, by the way, the women were always of a 'particular community'. latest example: a few weeks ago, he asked vidya balan (33) to pose nude for him.)

*this* is india's great 'artist'? jeez! have you seen any of his paintings? third-rate garbage, looks like the movie posters the painting of which was his primary occupation until someone 'discovered' him.

in india these 'discoveries' are always suspicious. there was a famous ias officer whose son was a 'genius painter' whose works everybody paid tens of thousands for. that is, until the ias guy stepped down from office! guess the boy genius wasn't that much of a genius after all :-)

A Con artist and a Class A jerk.

Third rate ELM lionizes him, thats no surprise.

Legend has it that he was born with a brush. With that Brush he painted his mother and sisters several times. The Brush was inseparable from him, and it will be buried with him.

He is not good enough to paint the door of a tin shed.

There could be an explanation for the high prices his daubs went for. Was it a channel for money laundering, for hawala transactions, and/or for funding anti-India activities, including terrorism? In the latest sale (after his death) two of his daubs were bought by anonymous bidders, one of whom bid over the phone. As far as I know, the trash buyers have been mostly anonymous, and mostly or entirely located outside our country. Are these not red flags?

Gents, I don't think that you should feel hate for M F Husain. I think he was correct in saying that nudity can be something pure, and doesn't automatically have to be something dirty. When I see his paintings, I don't see anything dirty in them. It was completely unnecessary for Hindus to get upset over his paintings, and very wrongful for some to utter death threats against him. All they did was bring disrepute to their community. Why go after a mild old man?

san, m-f himself said he only painted those he hated in the nude. so for instance, he painted hitler in the nude. and all hindu deities, and even gandhi i think as nude or beheaded.

he was no mild old man. he was a calculating old jerk.

if nudity was so pure, why did he paint his daughter fully clothed?

you must not have seen his paintings of various hindu goddesses in sexual situations. they are extremely offensive to hindus.

He found support from Marxists and he found shelter in Qatar, each exemplifying freedom and liberty and individual rights.
