This is interesting. Although, I am not a 'mactard" (an obvious reference to a retard swooning and foaming from his mouth while holding his Mac as the next best thing to sliced bread), but their design philosophy and thought process is good enough to learn from it.
The potential for mapping in India is huge. It is much better than the crappy idea of UID scheme or Aadhar. We need to harness the technology for our own good; to understand the basic issues and intractable problems from a fresh perspective and have an iron will to solve them.
Rest assured, when the Government of India steps in, it would be riddled with all sorts of "reservations" in the real sense of the term.
