As usual, Sandeep nails it spot on. Unfortunately, barring the blog medium, the mainstream media would not carry this "opinion piece" because it rallies against the same set of "media managers".
Media freedom is "notional", a lie that has become truth by repeated assertion. It's important to be aware of what you read because of half assed comments/editorials/opinions bereft of basic research.

Barring a few notable exceptions (Sandhya Jain, Kanchan Gupta and to some extent Swapan Dasgupta) most of the "journalists" find an easy escape route to toe the Government line.
