consistent pattern in mohammedan lands: a democratic elections brings in the most committed religious maniacs.
then the old dictatorial army guy or other despot who was deposed suddenly does not look that bad.
what do they say, 'frying pan to the fire', or something?
similar pattern in iran, algeria, turkey, and now egypt.
guaranteed this will be the same in iraq too.
except of course in pakistan, where the army is the most extreme bunch of islamist bigots. they may wear armani suits and pass for 'people like us', but they are the worst hypocrites.
