We are seeing in front of our eyes a complete 180 degree makeover of Myanmar as soon as US decided it has strategic value vs china. No longer painted as evil (compare reverse transformation of saddam hussain). Karen and other (christian) rebel armies signing truce. So US can turn on or off the pressure at will.
Similarly if India were ever seen as valuable, naga, mizo etc (christian) separatists would be told to shut shop.
