Media Sepoys and Their Lathi Charges

When you see how the artificial buzz over AAP is being suddenly hyped in the media to turn them into a sensation overnight, it again shows the power of the media to manipulate perceptions. These mercenary sepoys have the means to fully synthesize buzz out of thin air, like a propaganda version of the lathi charge. While the AAP may not have the resources to rent enough sepoys for its needs, the Hand of the Congress certainly does. It shows that despite BJP's efforts through the Prasar Bharati act, the Congress has been able to continue its game through mercenaries for hire. The question then is, how to deal with the problem they pose? Certainly, it's preposterously naive to ask the mercenary media to show honour, fairness, and balance, since that's completely outside of the equation for them. From what I see, the only effective strategy would be to create a top-notch competitive news network with the necessary market reach to out-muscle the mercenaries. I'm talking about something like an Indian version of the FOX network. Short of that, BJP's hopes of getting a fair shake by the mercenary Indian media would be a pipe dream. We need more than The Pioneer or The Organizer, here. There has to be a high-powered industrial-strength approach. So why hasn't the BJP looked into this so far? Why is BJP repeatedly going into battle with .303 rifles when the other side has AK-47s?

Sudarshan News in Hindi is a humble beginning towards establishing a Hindu voice in the media

We need something that is truly industrial strength, like FOX or Al-Jazeera, run by a powerhouse. I'm talking about an entity that has mass-market appeal across the spectrum, from movies, to TV serials, to internet. That combined with social media would enable a much more potent response to blunt these Congress-rented mercenaries.

You need to read about that Turkish imam Fethullah Gulen. He's got a very deep-reaching approach.

Needs visible, big money. remember no industrial house in india can openly be anti congress. the socialist babucracy will crush their businesses overnight.

I agree - that's why you need a Far Emperor like a Rupert Murdoch. Even Canadian media moghul Conrad Black got punished by Canadian left politicians for clashing with them. But I'm sure that anti-Left Indians could find the right partner if they go shopping. Probably some wealthy NRI in the UK, or something.
