Reading this column reiterates the need to rebuild the Ramar Sethu as road, rail, pedestrian bridge.
Since China has already built the road, rail & port infrastructure in Sri Lanka, the best way for India to neutralize Chinese influence in Lanka is to rebuild the Ramar Sethu.
Wonder why Indian politicians, whether in Tamil Nadu, or at the Centre are not pushing this idea aggressively. Even Subramaniam Swamy, so active in Indo-Sri Lankan affairs has been strangely quiet on this magic bullet solution for India's southern frontier.
